The Panama Hotel was built in 1910 and is rich in history. Through the years it has served as a home for generations of immigrants, fisherman and travelers. The building houses the only remaining Japanese bathhouse left in the US. The hotel is centrally located in Seattle's International District, close to downtown and is featured in the novel, "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet." The Princess and the Pea room is a corner room with a high bed overlooking Main street and the parking lot.
We enjoyed our stay at the Panama Hotel and would consider staying there again in the future.
Jan and staff were always available and helpful throughout our visit. Their knowledge and passion for this historical property and the neighborhood were an added bonus during our Seattle adventures.
The Japan/Chinatown-International District is a bustling hub for Seattle’s Asian-American communities. Noodle houses, sushi spots, dim sum restaurants and karaoke bars mingle with gift shops and markets selling imported goods. Local hangout spot Hing Hay Park features the ornate Grand Pavilion at its center.
自我介绍
We work in e-commerce and media - our work often takes us traveling for business, and we love meeting other travelers while on a trip or hosting, and really enjoy discovering local customs in eating and drinking. We believe staying with or at locals is the best way to understand the world and enjoy life - don't hesitate to hit us up for tips about things to do while in town! Local history, design, and vintage homes (architecture and interior design) are interests of ours.
