Blue Ridge cottage is your home away from home, a cozy serene retreat nestling in the Ketti Valley of the Nilgiris. Our Upper Stone cottage blend into the natural beauty of the Ketti Valley, while retaining an elegant Victorian hill station charm. The upper Stone cottage has farm and mountain view. This doesn't come with wooden deck showed in one of the photo and that is a lower stone cottage. The "Ooty Stone House" ("Kal Bangala"), known to be the first ever bungalow built in Ooty, was the inspiration for our cottages. We have tried to incorporate some of the architectural elements from Sullivan's Kal Bangala. Our cottages blend into the natural beauty of the Ketti Valley, while retaining an elegant Victorian hill station charm. The cottage is furnished and decorated in the same theme, with raftered ceilings and fireplaces. The drawing rooms and bedrooms have spectacular views of the Ketti Valley. From your drawing room window, you could spot the Nilgiris heritage trains chugging along a ridge high above the cottage! Reproductions of English landscapes by Constable, and some of the French impressionists add to the ambience. From the solid teak beams to the furniture made of real pinewood, the cottage is built and furnished from the very best of materials, with emphasis on high quality and comfort.

We stayed for 3 Days, the place was pristine. Amid nature and little secluded(thats how we wanted). The caretaker was very helpfull and friendly, helped with all our requirment. We recommend the food prepared by the cook, its very tasty.

The place is perfect for families, we felt just like at our home. Special mention to the caretaker. Kumar was amazing with his punctuality, responsiveness and made us extremely comfortable. The food we had was just like we have it at our homes and we just spent only 2.3k for 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners for 4 adults (had chicken & fish twice). Definitely would recommend to those who don’t like commercial hotspots and are okay to travel 30-45 mins for sightseeing.

beautiful property , most humble and helpful person Mr. Satyaraj ... great cook and yummy food with reasonable charges... you can spend some beautiful time with family away from City and enjoy nature at its best clean place with ample facilities in place we really liked and enjoyed our stay

It was great stay. We did not roam around ooty because nothing could match the atmosphere at this house. So serene and peaceful

We had a great time staying at the cottage. The staff at the property were kind enough to help us with all our requests and local sightseeing bookings. They also cooked food for us on request at a very reasonable price

Blue Ridge cottage is located close to the village of Achanakal in the Nilgiris district. The Village is located in the Ketti valley, just off the Coonoor-Ooty highway. We have good accessibility by air, rail and road. The cottage can be reached by the Ketti-Achanakal road, and is close to both Ketti and Lovedale railway stations on the Nilagiri Mountain Railway (NMR). We can arrange to pick you up from Coimbatore, Ooty, Mettupalayam or Ketti. Alternatively you can call us to discuss any other arrangement, and we will do our best to help you.
If you are driving down adequate parking is available on the premises. Additionally, separate accommodation is also available for drivers. The guests can use two mountain bikes, and the bikes are for free use.
