On the second floor, you'll find a private bedroom with a king bed and its own bathroom, offering a serene sanctuary. The main floor boasts a bedroom with two twin beds and a full bathroom, perfect for a restful night's sleep. If you're looking for an extremely private, peaceful, retreat in a stunning wilderness setting I'd challenge you to find better for the money. I used to live in the area and was familiar with this property so I flew my family from the Midwest to share a few days there before heading west for some end of season skiing. Even though this place is almost off grid (with all the comforts of home) it's also just a beautiful short drive to places like Mount Evans, Echo Lake, Juniper Pass, Evergreen Lake etc. Also, even though it feels like a world away it's only ~20 min to the grocery or whatever you could possibly need for your stay. There are some great dining options in Evergreen. We had an excellent Easter Brunch at Willow Creek and I highly recommend. One last thing is this property had a lot of amenities onsite like spices, coffee and filters, etc. so may want to check in before shopping. Some places we've rented have been bare bones which I understand, but this sure made it nicer.
Exceeded our expectations! Winter visit was great with wood burning heater, porch had a gas table top, hot tub, sauna, etc.! Just a fab place to get away. If snowy, you will be best served with an all wheel drive vehicle of some sort...super high in mountains with amazing views so worth the trek.
Everything was just as listed - beautiful cabin getaway! The view was amazing. The cabin home was the perfect blend of cozy yet spacious.
My family and I stayed at this beautiful cabin for our Thanksgiving vacation. it was incredibly comfortable, cozy, and quiet. The location is absolutely gorgeous with fantastic mountain views. The accommodations and amenities were exactly what we had hoped for. A word of warning for southern city folk like us: It can be tough to get to the cabin during heavy snowfall. The cabin is located in the middle of winding mountain roads, and the ice and snow can be difficult terrain. We have an SUV, but it's a 2-wheel drive, so we did struggle a bit. If you travel up here during snowy seasons, plan ahead with a 4WD vehicle.
Wonderful place to stay. Our daughter got married at North Star Gatherings and it was so convenient to get to and from the venue. Host was very responsive and always ready to help. Would definitely stay again.
