房东热情好客、乐于助人，给我们准备了自制蛋糕和家养鸡蛋，这次旅行车胎漏气，男主人为我们检查，并借了电气泵给我们。 入住在风景如画的景区房子里，感觉好极了！

Instructions delivered timely and with great insights. Property was as described in the advert and pictures factual. Getting in was easy and Howard visited not long after arrival to ensure everything was perfect. Lovely cake greeted us on arrival which was very appreciated. After that we were left to settle in and do everything at our own pace but knowing both Janet & Howard would react if we were in need. Rooms are extremely comfortable and well decorated with everything fresh & congenial. Views from all room was stunning and all the amenities we could need. Our stay was completely peaceful and stress free but there were plenty of walks available right from the front door. Roads into the property are mainly single track with passing places but that added to the tranquility of the place. Local town of Broughton is close by (7 mins by car) and have amenities but we brought our own. Leaving was also relaxed and Howard again stopped by to discuss our stay and wish us Bon Voyage!

Was a lovely stay for the three of us. The area was lovely, with all the Lambs bouncing around. The local recommendation for the pub was great, food and drinks were prefect after a day walking. Was very appreciative to be able to have the dog stay in the Air BnB.

We had a wonderful long weekend break at Janet and Howard’s cottage. The place was even bigger than it looked on the photos and had an amazing view from the lounge and main bedroom. It was absolutely spotless in every room!! The location was peaceful and stunning, with great walks nearby and the local pub, only a two minute walk away, served wonderful food. We also easily travelled to Scafell Pike and Lake Windermere from this location - we actually got engaged on Scafell Pike during our stay in the Lake District! It was the perfect place to relax, celebrate and enjoy quiet quality time together. Janet and Howard were excellent, responsive and friendly hosts and we would love to visit again!

A very nice place situated in a picturesque and peaceful farming area. It’s a great access to the Lakes. Coniston is just 20 min drive and is a great area to hike around with beautiful views. The local pub is the quirkiest pub I’ve ever seen in the UK - really worth a visit! Sadly, they were fully booked for food during our stay. So, definitely book well before you travel. The hosts welcomed us with a home made pie and eggs from their own hens 😍 we could totally tell the difference from Sainsbury’s eggs!
