A wonderfully peaceful base for exploring the beautiful Duddon Valley and south west Lakes. Lots of walking options from the door and within a few minutes drive. The Lodge is warm and comfortable with beautiful views of the valley and hills from the generously - sized first floor living room. A very well- equipped kitchen, but also the option of eating next door at the pub. John and Gail were very welcoming and available if needed.

Very pleasant and relaxing stay, fantastic hosts and even helped out when asked for a few paracetamols late in the evening. Made full use of the very handy Pub next door👍👍

Everything is stated in the promotion of the cottage is real! Gail and John have a very nice cottage and you feel at home. Excellent views and peace. If you want to go to the Lakes District and have a quiet holiday is the place to come. You can also go treking from the house door to several places. Also go from there to the other lakes and come back to peace. Excellent cottage. All you needed was there! Many thanks Gail and John for keeping a very nice place to get some holidays with our family!

This is a brilliant base to explore the beautiful and quiet Duddon valley and surrounding area. The lodge is comfortable and spacious and has everything you need to cook and relax after a day outdoors. There’s a pub very close which does good breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. All in all, an excellent stay and I’d recommend.
