Welburn Village is a quaint stone village. There is a gastro pub (Crown & Cushion) as well as a cafe/deli/bakery (Dogh) all within 100 metres of Cherry Tree Lodge.
Castle Howard is only just over 1 mile away accessible by car or a lovely walk over the fields and through the woods. Lots of other walks straight from the doorstep.
The City of York is within 30 minutes drive. Castle line buses go to York, Malton & Castle Howard from outside Dogh., a couple of times a day.
There is also the Coastliner bus service with the nearest stop being approximately 20 minutes walk away. This travels East to Pickering, Scarborough & Whitby or West to York & Leeds hourly 7 days a week. Malton railway station is 5 miles away opposite the Coastliner depot.
Several other pubs/restaurants within a 15 minute drive.
Flamingo Land Zoo & theme park is only 20 minutes drive away.

There is parking up the narrow driveway to Cherry Tree Lodge (in between Dogh & Cherry Tree House). Alternatively there is on street parking within 100 metres of Cherry Tree Lodge. Castleline bus service from the bottom of the drive or Coastliner bus service with the nearest stop 20 minutes walk away.
