We had an amazing stay at the shepherds hut. The location was beautiful and so peaceful which is exactly what we wanted! The facilities are great, nice hot shower, clean space, comfy bed and with all the essentials available. If we wasn’t relaxing at the hut we went on some lovely days out… clovelly, Tintagel castle, Westwood ho beach and walked the heartland coast! Would definitely recommend watching the sunset from heartland quay. Hot tub was perfect for the end of a long day walking… heated it as we cooked dinner etc…. Had no problems. Simon responded to any questions we had. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back! Zara and Bobby

Needed a break from work so took my partner on a spontaneous holiday; Simon's place was exactly what I needed. The weather was perfect for it, we just had the best time on the property watching the stars, making fires, using the hot tub and cuddling Willow. We stumbled on Clovelly the day after we arrived and spent the whole day there and the day after, absolutely stunning little fishing village, we bathed under the cold waterfall that fed into the sea, went on a stunning coastal walk and went for a swim in the sea. Definitely the best place I have been in the UK, we were a little bit sad having to leave the place (and Willow!). Will definitely book again. ps: As we are LGBT+ there is always a bit of anxiety booking a place without knowing the host as people can be hostile; Simon is definitely non- judgemental and we felt we were treated exactly the same as a straight couple. This is definitely a safe space.

We came for a break from London life and had the most lovely stay! Simon was really attentive and checked to make sure we had arrived safely and also got home. The accommodation was even better than expected and we loved spending the weekend with Willow who is very affectionate and friendly. It’s very peaceful. There’s no signal but it was really nice to switch off for a few days and if you go for a walk down towards the local pub you get signal quite quick. Lots to do locally but equally just as nice to chill out at the property. Hot tub does take a while but it’s worth it. Would definitely recommend 😊

The stay was great and in a beautiful location. Only downside was the hot tub, I booked purposefully to use the hot tub however it took way longer than advised to heat up. After 3 hours and a lot of wood burnt, the hot tub was still freezing. Lovely area though and would definitely recommend as a get away!

We arrived very late at night and were still able to find the place well as Simon had given us great instructions. Him and his dad were around to help if we needed anything. There was a visitors book where other guests had written about their experience and give us recommendations. It is very secluded though so I would look into things to do around the area before you go as you will have to drive to everything that you want to do. Other than that it was cosy and the log burner worked great for heating up the hut quickly. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. :)
