While my partner and I enjoyed our stay; Pelicans Roost was a get-what-you-pay-for scenario. The space was cozy and was a very short walk to the beach. There is also a TON of activities to do close by (we enjoyed the pool, putt putt, walking through local shops, Fort Macon, and various restaurants close by) I’d say one of the biggest downfalls was that we did have to deal with cockroaches (all sizes) throughout our entire stay; which was a huge problem for us. Instead of being carefree on or vacation, we had to worry about that. The shower head was also very outdated (almost falling off so the water would spray out the side). As well as all the water turning off once without warning for about 10 minutes. Overall it was a cozy little place, but next time I would shell out more money to go somewhere nicer. But if you’re looking for a cheap, close place to the beach, and can get passed the roaches and small issues, this place is for you.

Very nice quaint little place, perfect for 2 people. Very reasonable. Loved it! We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed my stay even tho I had to deal w/a few roaches and purtey good hike to the beach unless you could get a car park close (which was at an astronomical rate)... J/S
