Welcome to our lovely Cape Cod beach home, located in the unique seaside Eastham neighborhood of Massasoit Hills, where you will be just a short walk from two beautiful private association beaches on Cape Cod Bay. Spend your days sunbathing on the beach, playing in the sand, and swimming in the warm, calm bay waters. The kids will absolutely love low tide, when the beach opens up and you can walk out, seemingly for miles, onto the exposed flats and explore the tidal pools while the kids dig for clams, collect shells, and play with the hermit crabs, not to mention the AMAZING sunsets you will see! Walk through the front door of our home to find a bright and open kitchen/dining/living room with plenty of space for everyone. The large glass windows, sliding doors and skylights fill the room with natural light. There are two separate living areas, a flat screen smart TV for streaming, a dining area with seating for six, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, dishwasher, and island. Step through the sliding door and onto a spacious deck overlooking the backyard area. The large canopy above provides shade for the entire deck, and combined with the constant breeze from the ocean, creates a perfectly comfortable outdoor space during those hot summer months. There is a large enclosed outdoor shower with a changing room that is accessible from the deck. The house, with more than 1,700 square feet of living space, sleeps six guests comfortably within three bedrooms. On one side of the house is a large master bedroom, which includes a king bed and private full bathroom. The other side of the house has two more bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds, as well as an additional sleeping area with two more twin beds, and another full bathroom. The central A/C system throughout the house will keep you and your guests cool and comfortable during your stay, and there is a stacked washer and dryer available for use if you need to do laundry. Our home is also dog friendly (1 max), so don’t forget to bring along the family pup! As always, we provide sheets and bath towels at no additional cost, and for your convenience, all beds will be made upon your arrival. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation! Lovely home very close to private beach. Large rooms, very well equipped kitchen. Lots of privacy with a large lot. DelMar responded quickly to our concern about low battery icon on thermostat.
The home was exactly as described. It was a perfect location - off the beaten path but close enough to enjoy all that the Cape offers. It felt homey and authentic. Quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. We look forward to a return!
The property was fantastic, easy access to the beach and quieter location in Eastham! We were a little nervous since other reviews mentioned construction noise but since we had paid for the rental we’ll before those reviews we couldn’t exactly back out. But we didn’t hear any construction noise so that worked out very well! Place was really clean, well air conditioned, and had a lot of great amenities for a family. Would definitely stay again!
High marks for easy check in, neat, clean house. The house was comfortable, lovely and well appointed. ALL of the appliances (including central AC, wifi and outdoor hose) worked very well - there were no issues. Del Mar was also very responsive whenever I reached out - thank you for that. The ONLY issue: there was a large, multi level home being built immediately behind our rental property. I understand building delays, etc. can be an issue - however, when you are renting a vacation property and very obviously are seeking relative quiet (hence, the neighborhood and exclusive nature of the property), renters have the right to know if the house they are staying in has an active building site in its immediate vicinity. A simple and reasonable request.
It was a bad deal because the beach down the street from the house was closed due to contamination which began 7/8 (4 days ahead of our arrival).If one of the selling points of the rental is that we are located right down the street from the beach than you should have let us know that the beach was closed. Also, there was a new house under construction right next to the backyard everyday we were there. Starting at 7am until late in the day, everyday, there was very loud noise outside as a house was being built. Based on those circumstances what we paid for the rental was high. Imagine going to a hotel and the beach is closed and there is construction on-site the whole time you are there. You would feel like you were being ripped off. We were not notified ahead of time of this and if we were we may not have rented this house. The host addressed other concerns we had in a timely manner and had great customer service.
