Had a really enjoyable stay, the pool, tennis courts and games room were perfect for the kids. The only downside was the lack of places to eat, we felt that the menu in the bar was very limited and the roads were to unsafe to walk anywhere else. Also the pub/restaurant stopped serving at 8.30pm which we felt was very early for a holiday destination especially if you had been out for the day. They also closed early if it was quiet, we went one evening for a drink at 10pm and everywhere was closed which we thought was ridiculous for a holiday site in the middle of August! We did however find a lovely local chippy on our last night in the village of Callington called the Blue Chip, would highly recommend you could even sit in. Louis tea rooms was also lovely we had breakfast there the last day and found out they also open in the evenings but you do have to drive to get there. Was a good base to visit Padstow, Newquay and Bude which were all just an hours drive away.

4 adults and 3 children (14, 8 and 7) and space was perfect. Everyone really happy with their rooms. Clean and comfortable. Swimming pools were amazing. We were never more than an hour from anywhere we wanted to visit like Padstow and Boscastle and there were some really great National Trust properties to visit. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay

Weather didn’t help but couldn’t be helped, it described itself as a perfect place to stay with with a larger family or relatives due to the size but the pictures did make it look bigger and two of the bedrooms take up a generous space of the ground floor Les I g the seven of us under each others feet. Park nice but not much to do, also any activities are quite a drive away (1hr) Clean in most areas but lamp shades, inside of door runners and the little things need to be addressed Decking could do with a little renovation and also desc said nearly renovated but must have been a fair few years back so that desc needs updating. I also recall seeing somewhere reference to a laundrette on site but there isn’t - I maybe wrong Nice welcome present scones, cream and jam Also the welcome pack which is mentioned on your arrival is simply a piece of paper advising how to book pools or gym Couldn’t have done more than 7 days and probably one weekend would have been better

The house was ok, clean and big enough, everything as descibed on the website. Claire, the host, is very friendly and reacts very quickly. The house is part of resort Honeycomb. The facilities are dated. Swimming pool is much smaller than on the pictures and the opening times (till 4 pm) should be much longer. The gym is only 18+, which wasn't mentioned beforehand. A big dissapointment for our teenagers, they hoped to do things allone and now couldn't.
