The most lovely home in a walkable area, near the water with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Doug is a wonderful, accommodating host who was easy to communicate with and shared all the helpful info ahead of time. He and his family were kind and welcoming. The house itself is so well cared for - it was fun to read about its history in the house booklet. You can tell the hosts take a lot of pride in taking care of the property. The decor is simple, very clean and extremely comfortable with all the amenities listed. We only stayed one night for a nearby wedding but would be fun to book a longer stay to enjoy everything the area has to offer and also the home itself, including the quaint backyard.

Amazing host, house and location. We have rented in Marblehead several times over the last 5 years and this was our favorite by a mile. All of the bedrooms have private baths making it easy to accommodate our 3 couples. The house is centrally located in the historic area of Marblehead and right across the street from our favorite restaurant and near Crosby's for supplies. Doug was terrific with directions and checking in on us on arrival. We had a chance to meet his sweet family as well which completed the whole picture. Doug's house is at the top of list for a return visit to Marblehead. No need to look further!

Douglas is the perfect host! His beautiful home is located in right in the centre of Marblehead's historic Old Town and conveniently walkable (a few minutes) to cafes, charming stores and the local supermarket. The property is very well appointed and extremely comfortable for an extended stay. It is very nicely furnished and the kitchen is particularly well equipped. I'd highly recommend staying here to explore Marblehead with your family.

My family of 4 (2 kids, 1.5 and 5 years old) and a friend stayed at Douglas’ place for a few days getaway to visit a friend in Salem. The location was ideal- walking distance to so many things in Marblehead and a short drive to Salem. The home itself was well decorated, cozy, and the perfect layout (and the fact that all rooms have en suites was amazing!) We were lucky enough to bump into Douglas and his family and they were lovely to chat with. He was easy to communicate with and made our trip super smooth. We look forward to our next visit!
