Recently renovated, this Grade II listed Barn was originally a grain store and is now a one bedroom, comfortable and cosy retreat set in the heart of Beaminster, a small picturesque town nestled in a natural valley in stunning West Dorset, close to the Jurassic coast. The Barn is very close to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes of Beaminster as well as some of Dorset's best walks, National Trust sites, Jurassic Coast beaches and weekend markets. Ground floor: Open plan kitchen, sitting, dining room with a large sofa bed, wood burner and fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom with loo and shower Upstairs: King size bed, sofa, 50" TV, dressing table and wardrobes Outside: Courtyard with table, chairs and barbecue - please note that our neighbours have a right of access through the courtyard. However, the courtyard is for your sole use.

My second stay here and it was as lovely as I remembered! Immaculately clean, very comfortable bed and furnishings, a peaceful oasis in the middle of a lovely small town. Many thanks to Sarah for excellent and friendly communication, which went above and beyond when I thought I'd left something behind. I look forward to another return stay!
Great location in the square, near great restaurants. Cozy accommodation. Has everything you need. Would definitely come back. Sarah was gracious and went beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay.
We stayed at The Barn for our first family holiday with our dog and baby. It was the perfect little place for us. Really comfy bed and cozy loft room with plenty of room for crawling and playing! Full kitchen is wonderful with everything you need and we would definitely come back in colder months to make use of the wood burner! There was a gift bag for the dog, biscuits and milk and Prosecco in the fridge! Amazing! We really enjoyed the area and the location is so convenient right in the middle of the town next to all the shops. Sarah was not around when we stayed but kept in touch and was so friendly and welcoming. The Barn was so warm and cozy. We will be back!
Sarah was very responsive, keen to ensure we were ok and very thoughtful. The Barn was as described. A small apartment tucked into a very convenient spot in the middle of town. Well appointed and comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable place to stay. Beaminster is a very lovely town with lots of places to eat and a short drive to the coast.
Sarah's place in Beaminster is a real treasure, very tastefully designed and decorated. It has a really beautiful upstairs bedroom (great bed) and sofa and dressing table area. It's in the heart of the town making it easy to pop out for coffee or to the shops. Set in beautiful countryside. Thoroughly recommend it.

Beaminster is a gorgeous small town, nestled in a valley in stunning West Dorset. Our property is very close to the Square which is bustling during the day but peaceful at night. The town boasts two pubs, both serving delicious food and dog friendly, three super restaurants and various cafes. There is a butcher, a baker, a greengrocer and a Co-Op opening long hours every day. There is also a variety of other shops and boutiques. There is a gorgeous church, parts of which date back to the 12th century and a fascinating museum. Beaminster is close to Bridport, providing a wealth of shops, an antique centre and larger supermarkets. There is also a fascinating street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Jurassic Coast is only 7 miles away and provides miles and miles of spectacular beaches, coastal walks and activities.
We don't have our own parking but it is easy to park, either on street or just around the corner (one minute walk) in a long stay car park at Yarn Barton. There are frequent bus services to the coast and to Bridport.
There is a mainline station, offering services from Waterloo to Crewekerne (ten minutes away) so if you prefer to leave your car at home, you will be easily able to get around using local bus services.
