Welcome to Bolivar, Ohio! Situated one mile south of Stark County, it is the gateway to Tuscarawas County directly off of Interstate 77 along the Tuscarawas River. Our direct access makes it a perfect launch point to enjoy the small town feel while exploring all that the area has to offer.
Local attractions:
+ Southern most point of the famed Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, stretching all the way to Cleveland and the Cuyahoga Valley. Enjoy all the hiking, biking, and nature that the Trial has to offer!
+ 1/2 mile from the NTR Canoe Livery for all of your kayaking, tubing & river adventures
+ 3/4 mile from Wilkshire Golf Course and 4.5 miles from Zoar Golf Course, two long standing public tracks synonymous with the local community. There are in upwards of 10 public courses within a 25 minute drive.
+ 3/4 mile from Wilkshire Miniature Golf, an 18 hole putt putt course slated to open in June 2023.
+ 1/2 mile from Fort Laurens, an American Revolutionary War fort that conducts several re-enactments throughout the summer months.
+ 3 miles from Zoar, the historical community founded by German separatists in 1817. Today many festivals take place celebrating events of the past in the impeccably maintained village. Be sure to check out the luscious, manicured Zoar Garden.
+15 miles to the north you can enjoy Canton's Pro Football Hall of Fame! The HOF Village is ever expanding with dining, entertainment and a soon to be water park.
+ 20 miles to the south is Ohio Amish Country, resplendent with shopping, gifts, dining and wineries. Spend the day slowing down and enjoying a different pace of life.
+ Multiple dining options are within a moments walk of your stay. The loft/apartment is located above our newly opened El Albatross, an 18&OVER cocktail bar featuring street tacos. Two buildings away is Sublime Smoke, our first restaurant in the area. It features wood fired BBQ and 16 taps & 100 cans/bottles of craft beer with both indoor and outdoor dining on our lush covered patio. Being a small community, we are friends with many of our "competitors" in the area who each offer a unique experience different from ours. Directly across the street and out of the bay window is Canal Street Diner, an institution in Bolivar specializing in great breakfast fare and comfort food. Just down the street across from Sublime Smoke is the Towpath Tavern, featuring pub fare and a spacious outdoor patio which often features live music Thursday-Saturday. A short 2 minute drive under the highway and across the river takes you to Lockport Brewery. Our good friends make a wide selection of award winning beers in a beautiful taproom and outdoor beer garden. Adjacent to Lockport you can find Vaughns Pub, which has been going strong for over 20 years. Just look for the motorcycles and raucous music coming from their patio. Lastly if you want to stay out late, consider Kickin, an eclectic dance and pool hall.

Parking is free on-street though somewhat limited. There is one dedicated parking space at our restaurant, which is located 100 feet south of the listing. Additionally, there is a large public parking lot located across the street. It is compacted stone (well lit) and can accommodate all vehicles, RV, and trailers.
