We had a really great stay at the Head Keeper's House at Point Arena. The views could not be beat: north-facing and south-facing windows off the kitchen and living room looked out toward the ocean on each side of the point, and the west-facing door/window of one of the bedrooms had a clear view of the lighthouse itself. The place was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We'd seen in other reviews that people mentioned you could hear neighbors through the walls, and we did notice this in the morning (in the far west bedroom) but it didn't bother us much. The well-equipped kitchen was really nice and we were able to cook a couple of meals for our group. We appreciated that the tour of the lighthouse was included for our whole party. Definitely recommend also exploring the grounds and nearby area. Well worth staying here!

We are a non-profit organization that owns and manages the iconic and historic Point Arena Light Station #496. It features the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast at 115 feet, it also offers an indoor museum, Whale Watch room, Light Station Store, 23 acre outdoor museum and 7 unique vacation cottages that can accommodate from 2 up to 6 people, depending on the cottage. Come stay in comfortable cottages surrounded on 3 sides by the Pacific Ocean. We love tourists, families, couples seeking that perfect romantic weekend, large groups that want to vacation together, and people who just want to get away to a wild, private, spectacularly beautiful piece of the North Coast of California and get the unique experience of staying at a working yet historic lighthouse.
