This was our second stay at the Lighthouse; the last time being 8 years ago. We appreciated being able to bring our dog, and that they had a pet towel available to wipe his paws. We love the remoteness and peacefulness of the location. In addition to wandering the trails from the house, we had a great trip to Bowling Ball Beach (make sure it’s low tide). The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to prepare meals, but be sure to bring your own salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc. All in all we had an enjoyable stay and won’t hesitate to return.

My party and I had the most lovely stay at the Point Arena lighthouse. The property is serene, the combination of crashing waves and distant winds will lull you to sleep. The location is remote, though easy to find. The unit itself was clean and spacious. We were greeted with a welcome bottle of wine and local coffee for the morning. There was plenty of wood to light a fire too. The group decided to wake up at sunrise to take photos and walk the grounds and it did not disappoint. The colors were breathtaking! We were also able to take a complimentary lighthouse tour and lucked out with some clear views. Mark and Shiela provided us with wonderful hospitality and communication. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Great views and close to the lighthouse, clean accommodations with plenty of room and full kitchen. Staff was responsive and friendly, great for peaceful getaway with family.

Don't expect a fancy place, these are older units and so pretty basic. There is no central heat, just the wood stove and plug in radient heaters in the rooms, but those kept it warm enough for us. The bath water also only got warm at best. But, the location on the point is amazing. We saw the best sunset we've ever seen, standing by the gazebo, on top of the cliffs, watching the waves crash over the rocks; unforgettable! That alone made the place worth staying at.

From Booking to our stay to our departure customer service and responsiveness was amazing. First, upon entering the apartment, the immediately noticed how CLEAN it was. Second, we had an issue with the wood stove and they responded. The hot water has gone out and again they responded and fixed it immediately. The interaction was kind and quick. Third, it really looks EXACTLY as pictured. We have no complaints. Will definitely stay here again.
