Stunning location. First visitors of the year. Some issues with heating, or lack of. Didn’t meet Jamie but his delightful bubbly Mum looked after us well.

The most beautiful little coastal retreat, which mimics the photos to a tee! There's so much to do locally, with some absolute gems dotted around. Our check in was perfect and after arriving late, with no time to stop off along the way to pick up basics, Jamie's Mum well and truly showed the true Irish hospitality and provided us with a box of goodies for breakfast and nibbles for the evening. We loved it and would love to visit again.

House was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The location is perfect, with beautiful sea views and access to a little cove with a sandy beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

Jamie's mother, Breda, who was our hostess, was a total gem: very friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped. The double-bed mattress was very comfortable. The view from the kitchen is wonderful. Two little things: If you are depending on wifi, be aware that it's rather weak as it's coming from the main house. If you are perfume sensitive, there was a plug-in air freshener in the kitchen area that I found a bit pungent (but which can be unplugged). It was very peaceful, on a stunning bit of coastline, with Castletownshend nearby but also Skibbereen for grocery shopping etc.

We (mature couple) had a very enjoyable week in Jamie's place. The location was beautiful, the house was in tip-top condition. Before we arrived, we got useful tips about restaurants, places to visit etc. On arrival we got a warm reception from Jamie and his mother. Overall it was a great base to explore Skibbereen and West Cork. We would love to go back.
