We had a lovely stay at the duck hut. A very peaceful spot, we enjoying relaxing at the hut as well as making the most of it’s location as a great base to explore the Peaks.

Lovely, peaceful break. I'm a big bloke and found everything here comfortable for use. Pond is a short walk, caught some good sized carp (take sweetcorn!). Mainly I was here to be away from the world and this was perfect.

A lovely hut, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. The amenities are great and there is lots to do. We will definitely be back!

Booked as a birthday surprise for my dad’s 65th. Dad loved it, had a really relaxing stay with nice local walks and when he had a small issue, Jack and his dad were on hand quickly to come and help him out. He loved the peace and quiet and had everything he needed in the shepherd’s hut. He said he could have stayed at the fishing pond for hours if it were a tad drier. Dad also told me how he saw an owl and other wildlife which is wonderful, he also loved all the bird boxes you guys have put up. I’m sure we’ll book again for another time or another family member’s birthday treat, lovely place and not a million miles away. Thank you guys! 😊

The best holiday I’ve ever had with my partner - we had a fantastic time. The surroundings were peaceful and calming and the hut and grounds were absolutely stunning. Make sure you take a trip to the lake and the local woodland! Alongside this, Jack was such a helpful host and had recommendations for local kayaking spots, as well as helping us with directions and a heads up about the weather!
