Absolutely lovely stay! The owners were quick to respond, informative, and lovely. The property is peaceful and centrally located to hikes and attractions that we visited. Overall 5/5 stars!
Tucked away off the beaten path, surrounded by big trees. Cabins/houses clean quirky decor with everything you need. Perfect for people wanting to get off the grid for a bit
The Paper House is a beautiful rustic cabin with everything you need. There is a nice covered area outside with a gas grill, table and chairs. The river is a short walk down the property. The water is kind of low right now but still enjoyable. There is a nice table and chairs right on the river to sit and relax. You do hear a bit of traffic noise down there but nothing that bothered us. Our host was very attentive and responded quickly to our questions. I would definitely rent this place again.
This cabin was amazing. We rented it to watch the eclipse, and even though it was cloudy, it was the perfect place to be. The river was a bit low, but it was great for our 4 year old. I’d expect the water level to rise a bit by the end of spring. The property is beautiful, and you’ll have plenty of privacy, even with 2 other houses nearby. There are lots of amenities - fire pit, propane grill, kayaks, covered outdoor tables, a swing for the kids, etc. Great wi-fi, a stocked kitchen, and comfy linens. We met the owners, Ruth and John, who were very friendly and welcoming, and easy to get ahold of. Blanco is really charming, and has lots to offer. Good restaurants and cute shopping spots. It’s also really easy to get to from Austin, and is a beautiful drive. I highly recommend.
Nice setting near charming little town. Spring a good time to go as wildflowers were out!
