We had a wonderful, peaceful weekend at Emily’s!! The house was sweet & the views of the hudson were beautiful. The perfect getaway. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Our stay at Emily’s was wonderful. It’s a gorgeous cottage with a wonderful view. Feels very warm and cosy, with a lot of charm. It’s exactly as the pictures show, and has a wonderful, peaceful setting. Sitting out on the deck was incredibly relaxing. Beds were comfy, and the living room with the fireplace is a wonderful room. Well equipped kitchen that’s so nice to be in with that view! Emily and her husband were incredibly helpful and responsive if we needed anything. Has become our favorite Airbnb in the area (and we have been to many!!). Look forward to coming back!

Emily was by far the most communicative AirBnb host I've had so far. Messages were answered in minutes, thoughtfully and with care. The kitchen is a very modern kitchen with some Italian appliances that need a little figuring out to use, like the second oven that actually functions as a microwave. Understanding where light switches were took a minute but not a big issue. Water initially had a strong sulphur odor, but hardly the fault of the owner, that's just local plumbing. It went away eventually after a day. It's certainly an older house that's been renovated and retrofitted with modern touches. That in mind, unlike most AirBnb's, none of the furniture felt cheap and, save for some really nitpicky issues with the kitchen, I would consider staying there again. Not sure what it's like the summer, but it was certainly comfortable for a cold, snowy, winter day, especially with a fireplace. Be sure to bring boots if you plan to go during a rainy period, as the grounds can get muddy.

Emily's place was really beautiful and was exactly as described and pictured. It was very peaceful and we relaxed and enjoyed family hang out time. My plan was to cook a lot for my family and I enjoyed cooking and looking out on the Hudson - really lovely views! Our dog enjoyed the big yard and we had fun running around with her. We had a small glitch getting in, but Emily was super responsive and it was resolved fairly quickly. My only suggestions would be for people who cook ( and are excited to cook in the gorgeous kitchen) there were no pot holders to take anything out of the oven! I burned my fingers a couple time with my makeshift holders. Also, no dishtowels to wipe hands or dry dishes. So bring them along if you go and you plan to use the kitchen a lot like we did. Otherwise, we would love to stay again in the warmer months to be able to utilize the outdoors more, and enjoy the Hudson view outside! Thanks for the stay!
