Where yesterday meets today creating memories for tomorrow ! This semi-secluded two/three bedroom cottage boosts easy Allegheny River access to swimming, fishing, tubing, and kayaking. Walking and biking trails at the end of the gravel driveway. Enjoy nature's sights and sounds while relaxing on the riverfront deck , roasting marshmallows over the firepit, or lounging on the bench , just steps from the water’s edge. There is a dock for those who want to be right on the river. The kitchen and dining room are open concept with a coffee bar and microwave at one end and gas stove sink etc. on the other. Two main bedrooms have wall ac units, DO NOT SET TEMP BELOW 67 degrees or unit will freeze and leak water. If you set both units to 68 degrees and place both pedestal fans in the doorway it will cool main cottage. Third bdrm no AC unit. Septic sys. be gentle only use toliet sheets provided.

We loved everything about our stay here. The view off the deck is beautiful. The home is super cozy and has everything you could need. Amy and Joe are amazing hosts. I already want to plan a trip back!
A river beauty! Quiet location! Private, but not isolated.Everyone was friendly. We didnt feel like outsiders. A warm, spotless and inviting cottage with super comfy beds, tons of special touches and a deck you could spend your entire stay relaxing and enjoying. Ideal location for river activities, biking and nature. We truly can't wait to stay here again.
My daughters and I had a great stay at Amy and Joes cottage. Amy and Joe were both very responsive and answered any questions that I had. Check in was very easy. It is a beautiful location. So nice to sit on the deck & enjoy the beautiful view and peaceful setting. We had some things planned away from the cottage so did not get to really take full advantage of the area. We would love to come back for another girl's weekend and just stay right there.

Private road with 10 mph speed limit. The driveway is shared with the neighbors , please stay to the left, park in gravel areas only. There are a few friendly dogs that stop by on occasion. Quiet times begin at 11 pm until 7/8 am. Please be respectful of neighbors when outside as sound travels.You need a fishing license to fish on or off the property - they have been checking.
Bike, walk, quad, golf carts the private road is graveled.

We are Amy and Joe , local real estate agents. We had been looking for a "Hideaway" along the Allegheny River when 488 showed up! Joe and I have been working to update "The Hideaway" since 2020. The Hideaway has become our second home .We expect guests to love and care for it like it is home during your stay. The dock is in place for the summer .The main two bedrooms have their own heat and ac unit. The vintage stove Joe fixed up is all gas, and the decking, barn stone walls and steps around the property and down to the River are our favorites.
