We live in the area but had lost power after Hurricane Lee. Karen was extremely responsive and very flexible when it came to approving our stay and getting us in early. The property is gorgeous, the view amazing.

Karen was incredibly responsive and helpful, particularly with some last minute schedule/weather complications. The house is small but perfectly suited for our family and the dock is beautiful!

We had a relaxing, beautiful sunny week at Karen’s cottage kayaking and swimming in the lake. Spent evenings by the fire pit. Neighbors were friendly. Cottage is definitely rustic, in need of repairs (cabinets leaning off wall, missing grout in bathroom tile) but we were there for a lake vacation not a fancy stay. There were some great local (15 minutes) restaurants, The Heritage House, Lakewood Inn and Restaurant and The Bankery-awesome bakery! Karen was super responsive to questions and shared recommendations. We enjoyed our stay!

Karen was such a wonderful host! Her house was easy to find, very comfortable and cute. It rained the majority of our visit but it was so pleasant to just spend time in her house - reading, doing puzzles, etc. Great little restaurants within an easy 15 min drive. The dock and patio down by the lake were easily accessed and beautiful area to hang out. Close to the Kennebec River, hiking trails, beautiful rural area - just remember to bring some bug spray for the summer!

Cute camp nestled in the trees; beautiful walkway to the water; the patio tables both on the camp upper deck and by the dock were very convenient. The host was very responsive and the camp provided everything we needed for our stay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
