This was such a cute yurt! We only stayed one night as a stop on our way home to break up the drive so we didn't get the full camping experience but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean (not smelly) and if we were camping this would have been a great quiet spot(we did hear coyotes all night, which i loved listening to). The dogs enjoyed the quiet as well, they slept so well.

Backyard Bliss was beautiful, albeit a little closer to the main house than we expected - so you do see the main property/guests coming and going from the house. This property is remote, but close to a few busy/well trafficked roads - and we did hear that noise throughout the night. In addition, there is a property to the east of Lindsay's with multiple dogs that seem to live outdoors/remain on guard/barking. We brought our dog to camp, and she really struggled to settle day/night given the outdoor dogs that live a property over, which made it difficult for us to sleep. Again, this is not Lindsay's fault - just something to be aware of if you are bringing your dog, or dogs here. If your dog is sensitive or on guard when other dogs bark or are barking, this is probably not the campsite for you. In terms of proximity to Mackinaw City, it's a short 20 minute drive - and pretty easy to get to and from, so definitely a 5 star for location if you plan to visit there. Thanks Lindsay!

Our stay was definitely blissful! The yurt was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Lindsay was so responsive and helpful with all of my questions, no matter how minute. Definitely highly recommend :)

•NOT PRIVATE “Backyard Bliss” is accurate, your space is literally in someone’s backyard. The tent face lines up with the house windows and at no time was there a sense of privacy. My husband was so uncomfortable with how close we were to the house that we left every day so as not to be hanging out in someone’s backyard. Outside of a bigger tent this property had nothing to offer that you couldn’t find at a rustic site. The dogs who lived there (who were being dogs and are not at fault) barked all night, and the property just to the east also had dogs that barked all night. There was also a lot of dog feces on our site when we returned from our day trips. The property and the privacy are wholly misrepresented and I cannot stress enough how much this experience resembled camping in your parents backyard as a child. The wellhead for the shower was maybe 20 feet from the side door and the shower itself can be seen entirely from the house. This is not a place for a private getaway.

We stayed at one of Lindsey’s other spots for one night in July and knew we wanted to stay at spot #2 in August. It was lovely. Super quiet except for these hawks that chose to fly around our spot. We loved it. They even gave us a feather.
