Everything about this stay was amazing. The owner (host) was incredible. His communication was great and he is super responsive. He went above and beyond to make sure we were all set for our stay. I wish every homeowner was as great as Stephen!

The cottage was lovely and rustic with great amenities and a very helpful and friendly owner. The views are gorgeous with lots of wildlife. We saw a few herds of the Sika deer, small deer in the elk family. Look them up, really interesting. They have a cute whistle and make much more noise than white tails. The screened in porch was lovely, and necessary due to the copious amounts of Maryland’s state bird, the mosquito! Steven provided bug spray but I recommend bringing some as well. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking including oils and spices. The nearest grocery store is about 40 minutes away, although a local farm store is around a 30 min drive and has lovely items available as well as breakfast and lunch. One thing to note is the bathroom is on the second floor so if you have any mobility issues it could be a challenge. All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again for the peace and quiet.

Beautiful and quiet retreat! Stephen is a super responsive host and helped us when we needed it. It is off the beaten path, and we loved listening to the animals and birds at night.
