Elder Cottage is the most beautiful little hide away down the quaintest of lanes. Absolute perfect location for walks and adventures. Spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The back garden is picture perfect. We had the best time. The Red Lion pub is just a stones throw away and the Faggots and mash were to die for after a long walk up Tor Y Foel and back. No parking at the cottage but we able to get a space in the big carpark by the village hall, just a minutes walk down the road. We were able to park up and quickly drop off our belongings outside the cottage though. Sharon was extremely helpful, letting us know of any traffic diversions etc. We will be back to stay again. I was very sad to leave. Thank you for having us.

Very attentive and responsive host! Special touches were the basic (fizz!) essentials and dressing gowns! The garden was beautiful and a sun trap and the Wood burner was wonderful to have for after the sun went down. Very well equipt place. We wanted for nothing! Used as a base for cycling and walking and visited the local pub: the red lion, that has just reopened. Would definitely recommend and come again :) thanks Sharon

Lovely traditional cottage in quiet village. Easy access to walks. Cottage is comfortable and extremely well equipped for self catering. Wood fire a bonus on colder dark evenings, but really a luxury rather than necessity as central heating worked well. Sharon was easy to contact and always helpful. Walking along the canal was incredible. We cannot recommend this booking highly enough. Two things to be aware of. As a traditional cottage some ceilings and doorways are low. Persons over 1.9m note! The Red Lion pub has new ownership and will re-open later in April. The Coach & Horses is an easy 15-20 min walk and was a great substitute with friendly hosts.

We choose to stay here to visit family who lives close by and what a perfect cottage to choose. The cottage is just like the photos and it is spotlessly clean. It is like home from home with all the amenities you could want. The lovely Welsh welcome provisions were a lovely touch after a long journey and the log fire was perfect when it was raining and snowing outside. Complimentary bathrobes, shampoo and shower gel was another lovely touch. I cannot think of a bad thing to stay and we will definitely be back when we come home again. Thank you Sharon for everything.
