A lovely comfortable, well equipped cottage, full of character and well placed in the village. There are great places to eat and drink dotted around the village and some amazing walks. We found everyone very friendly and the village itself is stunning. Also, the beds are heavenly! I would definitely recommend!

Penny Black is a lovely cottage. It is clean, spacious but also cosy, has everything you might need, and is perfectly situated in the beautiful village of Lavenham. Jo was a helpful and accommodating host and we wouldn't hesitate to re-book.

We had three very restful days at Lavenham. The weather wasn’t great but the cottage was cosy so we made the very best of our stay. The beds were most comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread ourselves.
