We have relatives in Devoran and knew the area, which helped. Sat Nav was confused and it took a while for us to find. That was as much our fault as anyone else’s! We hadn’t received the key code and my phone was almost out of charge, sorted quickly by Alice though. My husband is over 6ft tall and kept bumping his head and catching his elbows on the knobbly stone wall, which looks great but there were some sharp bits sticking out! Also the bed frame caught his leg. I was fine so I think it was just him! The stairs are very steep and I have arthritis everywhere and I might not have chosen it had I known that. We both think we are still in our youth and we are in our 70’s. My husband is very poorly and not thinking about how careful he needs to be! None of our problems were the fault of Alice though , there was a first aid kit for his knocks! There was a generous amount of amenities and welcoming drinks provided, tea/ coffee/ milk, beer. All cleaning products too. Dog came too!!🥰

We had a 4 night stay at Alice’s cottage. It was small but perfect! Everything we needed and the space was warm and cosy. Our older dog found the steep stairs a bit scary but with encouragement of food she soon got used to them! A great base for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall - thank you Alice 🥰

We have just returned from a four night stay at Alice's lovely cottage. It is exactly as described and although small, it is cosy and has everything you require for a pleasant stay. It is situated in an attractive village next to a creek and I enjoyed my early morning walks with the dog by the side of the river. The village pub is excellent and dog friendly. We discovered a few small beaches nearby that were not too busy including Loe and Mylor. The latter with a great café. We came back thoroughly refreshed and would definitely stay at the Quirky cottage again.
