this was our "home" between selling our house and moving out of the country, and it felt like a "home". Truike's house has so much charm and coziness: a wonderful eat-in kitchen with a sliding door to the veranda (which somehow reminded me of Europe), a perfect size cozy living room, beautiful wooden flooring of another era, and lots of sun since the house opens up to every direction but north. The location right on the river adds a magical sound of water and enables many special moments in the yard. Oh, and we loved the house cat Ollie, who adds further charm. And then there is the convenience of walking a few minutes to gems like a top class French bakery (Le Petite Bretagne), a Spanish tapas bar (Tentempie), a Boucher (Ulyses's) and so many other restaurants and shops as well as the train station that takes you in 42 minutes to Grand Central. We will carry very good memories of our stay back to Europe.

Truike's place was clean and bright and next to a babbling brook. Walkable to many restaurants and shops and train to Manhattan. Very comfortable and warm with a fireplace and beautiful furnishings. Porch and backyard were very peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need to feel right at home.

We had a wonderful experience at the house. It was cozy, clean and a fantastic location. We were able to walk with our kids, downtown, to the beach to the playground in the harbor, to the train station to go into Manhattan, we enjoyed sitting at the river and having our coffee in the morning while watching the swans and ducks. I would highly recommend this "river house". A true gem.
