La ubicación de la casa es simplemente increíble. Se nota que es una casa antigua y puede tener sus detalles, pero lo cierto es que el lugar en el que está es todo. Si buscan un lugar único y tranquilo donde quedarse en Bacalar, es una gran opción.

The property and location from the house are truly amazing, as it shows on the photos it has its own access to the lagoon and a huge garden. The price you pay for this stay is accurate but still, giving it 3 stars since the house lacks of maintenance (stove took 30 mins to cook an omelette, lack of cleaning utilities and no soap). Also they left 2 small shower towels and only another one for swimming, only one toilet paper for 4 days and some other details :( like mold on the pillow cases. If taken care of this details the house is a dream , 10 mins away in car to downtown.

Rose is an excellent host when it comes to prompt response for 5 gallon jug of water and found a taxi available to jump our car's dead battery in under an hour. We really appreciated those solutions. The place is very secure and a beautiful deck and pier for enjoying overlooking the lagoon and free use of kayak & life vests. On the other hand, very disappointed in the grounds keeping, the many electrical hazards inside the home, AC units were lacking in cooling of the unit and only being allowed to run one unit at a time, so it was next to impossible to be inside comfortably any time of day or night. The lounge chairs were held together by rusted screws and were scary to lay on due to that. If you can get past those problems and live on the back deck or hammock on the pier, this might be the place for you. I'm sorry but there are better places in Bacalar for the money. Again, Rose was a very good host when it came to resolving minor hiccups but...
