It was a nice place with a great location and amenities. Very responsive host. Place seemed clean but it smelled dusty in there. Ceiling fans had so much dust on them like they have been forgotten about for a very long time. Carper seemed very old and dirty. Kitchen was very poorly stocked. There was only one pan there that was all scratched up.

The Aviator Den was a good place to stay while visiting my son. The only real complaints that I had were timeliness of communication when I had questions…I didn’t realize the welcome letter email had come from another email address outside of Airbnb so that was my fault but I had to do some digging since I couldn’t get a timely response with messaging through the app. There was a code needed for the gate and it was hard to find the unit. I also didn’t realize the garage was on the back side of the unit until my last day there as the door is hidden in the laundry room and we didn’t enter the unit from the back and we didn’t use the laundry room at all until the last day. There was nowhere in the welcome letter that stated the laundry room led to the garage. On the last day I had questions about where to leave the trash and I even switched to the phone number listed to try and get a response and didn’t get a response until after checkout. I figured it out on my own thankfully. Problems (or annoyances really) with the unit were: The master bathroom sink runs constantly and doesn’t turn off (only a light stream of water but might annoy some) seems like this would be an easy fix. The master bathroom shower liner needed to be replaced. It had soap scum/lime build up. It seems like this would be a cheap easy thing to change out every few guests?? The master bathroom shower also drains really slowly so you have to stand in standing water while taking your shower…again easy fix and yuck. Other than that the furnishings were nice and it had everything we needed for our stay. It was a great location and we had a nice time. I didn’t reach out to the owners about the things that I listed because they weren’t a deal breaker for my stay but just noting that for others. The pool was also very nice even though we didn’t end up using it. Overall I would probably stay here again if the other few places that I’ve stayed in San Antonio were unavailable and I needed a place.
