Joanne’s cottage is a lovely home away from home, centrally located yet quiet. The house is well equipped, spotless and decorated with care and style - it was a very comforting place to return to after a busy day out. The rooms are bright and airy and modern, with lovely views over the rooftops from the bedroom. Joanne is very friendly and easy to communicate with - I’d recommend her cottage to anyone visiting Lewes.

I cannot say enough nice things about Joanne and her place in Lewes. The house is gorgeous. The location is excellent. And Joanne is an incredibly friendly, helpful host. We were in town for the famous Bonfire Night festivities, and the house was a perfect base for enjoying this magical experience. Lovely shops, pubs and restaurants are just a few minutes on foot from the house — and all the Bonfire Night events were within easy walking distance. After very busy days, we loved curling up in the evenings by the fire and enjoying the comfortable, cosy atmosphere in Joanne’s house. If you visit Lewes — and you definitely should! — this is the perfect place to stay, and you will be in the hands of a fantastic host.

This is my second time staying in this lovely cottage in Lewes, and I can’t wait to get back. It’s the perfect little bolt hole for doing some writing - quiet, yet right near everything you need, cozy and comfortable. Joanne is the perfect host - responsive, friendly and making sure I had everything I needed. Already looking in my diary for time to make it a third visit back…
