Lynne and Geoge were fantastic hosts. Very friendly and welcoming we couldn't have asked for more. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits left for us were a thoughtful touch . The bungalow is very well situated in Longnor which has a pub, shop, cafe and post office. There is also a fish shop which is currently closed but should be open again in May. We ate in The Cheshire Cheese pub and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The bungalow was very comfortable with everything you may need. There are lovely views over the countryside from the conservatory which sits on the front of the bungalow. There was a heater but the sun made it lovely and warm. Perfect for breakfast and snuggling up on the sofa with a book. Longnor has some brilliant walks from the village and it's well placed for visiting other areas. The Roaches is a 15 minute drive and was an excellent hike. We had a lovely break here and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lynne and George were very friendly and helpful. The cottage had everything we needed and it was lovely and cosy in the days the weather wasn’t so kind to us. My husband and son hugely appreciated the TV package with its coverage of their not to be missed football matches and the US Masters. We would certainly stay here again if we’re lucky enough to visit the peaks again. Alison

A lovely place to stay in a Peak District village surrounded by stunning scenery. The property felt like a home from home, cosy, comfortable and the perfect place to come back to from a days walking out on the hills, especially with the fire on. Everything was very clean and the property was well equipped. The location was great, with places like Parkhouse and Chrome Hill nearby. Wouldn't hesitate to book again, highly recommend!

Duncrest is a home from home. It was lovely to be able to stay somewhere tucked away, so extremely private, but with easy access straight into the village and only two minutes walk from the nearest pub, which, by the way, serves the most delicious food so we would highly recommend. Comfortable bed, central heating on and even a log burner which we would have loved to use, but never needed to, it was so warm and cosy. Lynne and George are the most friendly couple, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, and we have loved our stay in their cottage. Thank you both for the privilege, we have added you to our little list of the best places to stay and hope to return soon.

Good little bungalow that was spotlessly clean and in a convenient and quiet location for exploring the peaks. Hosts very responsive and helpful. The great little log burner helped to make it cosy and the 2 minute walk to the wonderful village pub was a real asset. Check in with the photos supplied helped greatly. We enjoyed our stay thank you!
