A few stains that looked like blood on our pillow and blankets and the bed was very loose and loud and moved a lot. Also our key only worked on one of our 2 doors. Although everything was decent. It's just a little rundown and musty, but right by the boardwalk. And are you really staying most of your time in the rooms anyway

My husband and I chaperoned a bday party in OC and stayed at the Vista Beach Retreat. Overall a great place to stay. Pros: Good location, could walk to most places or even just a short drive if needed. I liked that the 3rd bedroom was its own suite (bath & kitchenette) so we had a getaway area. Apartment was large and well kept. The owner was quick to respond and very friendly. Only two things I found to be cons, a little cumbersome to get the keys across the street and the walls are a bit thin for my liking but that is more personal preference. Despite those two things, I think the stay was well worth it and I would definitely recommend.

A little noisy due to being right on the street. Spider in my bed scared me! But overall decent place to stay with family.
