Depending upon what relaxing and rejuvenating means to you, this little spot is perfect. If you are into sophisticated, clean, simplicity, this is the spot for you too. Walking distance to the scenic drive, a couple of trail heads I found, maybe even three, depending upon how adventurous you are, and the shopping area/restaurants. The grounds at the Carmel River Inn are fantastic for short walks, fit with dirt paths and little paved lanes. The ground are beautifully groomed as well. The pool appears clean and fun; I did not use it, but the adults and kids were enjoying themselves there. I am not one for fancy or upscale, but this location sits at the top of my list for cabin type living community.

A very cute cottage. Great location. As I was there for Big Sur marathon and it was AT the finish line. Easy access to Highway 1, across the street from a nice shopping center for snack and food. Easy and quick trip to Carmel and Monterey. The cottage was very clean, the bed VERY comfortable and I loved spending the chilly evenings sitting in front of the fire reading a book. Would definitely reccomend and go back!
