Lovely cottage just outside Skibbereen where we enjoyed a 4-night stay. The place was clean and cosy. Victoria was helpful and very responsive.

My experience was totally different from other reviewers. The piggery did not meet reasonable hospitality standards for this price point. I left after 1 night and checked into a hotel. Positives: nice renovation of an old farm outbuilding; comfortable bed; efficient kitchenette and shower. Negatives: you get the key via a dark rundown shed filled with spiders; there's a VERY strong and overpowering perfume odor throughout the piggery due to scented candles and fragrance diffusers; the bedding was cold and literally damp to the touch; bath towels and bed linen were old and thin and in need of replacement; bed pillows were old and flat and also had musty odors; bedside lampshades and nearby books were covered in mildew; dining chairs were rickety; uncomfortable sofa; downstairs living area was dark and the lights were insufficient for reading; and the floors throughout were quite dirty with dead bugs, dropped food, long hairs, and even fingernail clippings. I have photos of all this.

We stayed for 5 days at the piggery and absolutely loved it. Victoria was a great host who was always easy to contact and had great recommendations for the area. The Piggery is super cozy, furnished with love and easy to access. The kitchen had everything we’ve been looking for except for. We had a grand time in Skibbereen and can would love to come back!
