What a delightful cottage. It was within east reach of the coastal walking routes and the beach and right by the centre of St. Bee’s. The walk up to St. Bee’s Head provided exceptional views. The cottage itself was really spacious with bags of storage and a super well equipped kitchen. The welcome package was gratefully received and the cottage was cosy and very homely with comfortable beds. Barbara was a great host and was very quick to respond to any questions or messages. We would definitely come back.

Having stayed here before it was good to stay again with everything being as it was the last visit. Situated in a peaceful area with stunning views, it really is a great place to unwind. Looking forward to visiting again.

Lansmere was a clean and spacious house. It has everything you need with beautiful pictures and decorative wall plates.

Great location with sea views. Clean property with everything needed for a short break. Peaceful location. Welcome pack much appreciated. Great to have a dedicated parking space but a little tricky getting to and from the property as narrow road and vehicles parked down one side making visibility difficult getting out at the end of the street. Easy, 10-15 minute walk to the beach from the property. Went to the Manor pub for tea one night which was good with generous portions. Visited Muncaster Castle for a day which was well worth it - stunning scenery, gardens/grounds, bird displays and house, visited The Gosforth Hall Inn (would recommend) on the way home. Spent a day at St Bee’s beach area and walked up the head just past the lighthouse and back making us feel less guilty about a fish and chip supper. Headed home via Bassenthwaite and hike around Dodd Wood- fantastic long weekend.
