Theresa was great with her communication even though the booking was last minute. Her place was beautiful, although difficult compared to others to get to but it was well worth the quietness and natural beauty. I’m sad we didn’t get to enjoy it more than a quick one night stay as it is a very exclusive spot with a caring staff.
Nous espérions un moment reposant, ce fut le cas ! Calme, propre, literie kingsize parfaite, peu de chambre donc une certaine intimité, piscine, …. Et personnel TRES sympathique, chaleureux et disponible ! Une voiture est préférable si vous souhaitez visiter les environs, mais des taxis font aussi l’affaire.
very cute mini brick castles! Everything felt welcoming and comfortable from the pool, bar, restaurant all in one private square. It felt like we were the only ones there. The power went out just before we arrived but was restored quickly. It was slightly unclear who to check in with and what to do at first, but I think that was the confusion of the power outage. We thoroughly enjoyed a couple beers in the pool and cabana style seating area before dinner. Loved the ambience! We were there for all you can eat taco Tuesday, which were underwhelming and bland but the drinks were good along with the pricing. All the staff was very helpful and attentive. There were a couple cars who joined us for dinner and a howler monkey who made himself known! The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was slightly warm but spacious. Everything worked well. A traditional Costa Rican breakfast was included, which was delicious! Thanks!

This was the first place my partner and I stayed at in Costa Rica and it was very memorable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel was beautiful, and the food was the BEST we experienced on our entire trip. We appreciated the authentic, fresh & delicious meals and the quiet country hotel setting. There are activities nearby for adventure and beach lounging. We definitely recommend it!

Castillo Tambor features 9 rooms, 10 washrooms and has sleeping accommodations for 24 people. Our Cactus Restaurant & Bar offers a variety of dishes from steaks to ceviche, lobster and fresh fish. Come join us at the bar for tropical cocktails. We are also offering options for custom menus for groups including vegetarian meals. SPA services such as: facials, body wraps, massages, pedicures, manicures and much more can be arranged upon request. We are also near Tango Mar and Los Delfines golf courses and have arrangements to use their services. If you want to explore the area and do some activities, we can connect you with the local adventure company, Pura Vida Expeditions CR. Among the many tours they offer are: Tortuga island tour with dolphin and whale watching, fishing, zip lining, bioluminescence, sunset tours at playa Los Vivos, ATVs, horse back riding; visit Curu National Park and Playa Quesera with its beautiful white sand beach and crystal water, kayaking, paddle boarding, coffee tours, etc. They also offer custom tours to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano, Manuel Antonio, Monteverde, Gulfo de Papagayo.
