Located behind the Lighthouse on the Beach, is our private residential/cottage community. We book for 7 night minimum. We can see the Northumberland Strait from the upper deck and you can also walk down our lane to our shared private beach access. There are three bedrooms (one with connecting door to sitting room with sofa bed). Lots of places to gather: the sunporch, the covered decks, the outdoor spaces or living room/family room. Two kitchens along with BBQ make meals special. We recommend six guests as there are three bedrooms. In the past, we have had many repeat guests. Whether they were families excited to reunite with family here in Pictou County or returning couples that meet here at the Merb House for their annual get together our guests have had many kind comments as we do of them. Their reviews are on our site. We look forward to maybe seeing you again this season! Through the main front door you see a staircase leading to the second floor. Upstairs is open concept living room, dining and kitchen area. There is one bedroom and bathroom with shower. The upper private deck provides a quiet place to sit and enjoy the summer breezes. When you enter you will see the covered porch and the sunroom entrance. It is self check in but if you are going to be late arrival we gladly leave the porch lights on. Check in is after 4 pm. The screen room is great for gathering and dining. Inside the front door is the family room that connects to one of the bedrooms. The main floor bathroom has a shower/bath and laundry facilities. Another bedroom on the main floor too. Outdoor spaces. You may quietly enjoy your morning coffee on the covered porch, the sunroom or the upper deck. Outdoor lounging areas and firepit too are in the gardens. There is a flat grass area too area in the front yard.
