This was our second visit to Liane and James lovely, private cottage. We spent Thanksgiving there and invited some family members with us this time, the kitchen was well stocked so we were able to cook a proper family dinner. Thanks Liane for the local pumpkin pie and cranberries!! The fall colours were beautiful and although we had a lot of rain the cottage was cosy has plenty of room to build puzzles and play games. We rented the pontoon boat once again and took advantage of the canoe and kayaks to fish and take all that nature could offer. Laine and James were ultimate hosts, which we expected from our last trip. I highly recommend this location and can’t wait to return again and again!!!!

Just returned back to the city after an awesome week at Follie’s Cove. Hats off to Liane and James for being extremely wonderful and accommodating hosts! Their cottage was spotless with great light in a really peaceful spot right on the lake. Their sunroom was a highlight for eating all of our meals and playing games. They were generous enough to have basic supplies you may have forgot for your personal use. So appreciated! Any issue we had was solved in a timely and prompt fashion. Gibson Lake is a very manageable and beautiful lake. We were there to fish with our 7 year old. Boating around on the pontoon to find successful fishing spots was a breeze. We used their canoe to explore a picturesque lazy river literally 5 minutes away from the cottage. Bala is only 20mins. away with a cute bakery, some shops and restos, We created so many great memories and had such an excellent experience. We’re seriously considering booking again for next year. Thank you again for the relaxing stay!

Liane and James were great hosts, always available to answer any questions. Our family spent a week at the cottage, enjoying building, Sandcastles, kayaking, and swimming off the lily pad! Our granddaughter, particularly enjoyed the tiny kayak! The Bunkie was perfect with a very comfortable bed, and yet steps from the cottage, making it a great multigenerational experience. Follies Cottage is less than five minutes from the boat Launch, has a lovely sandy beach, a dock you can fish off , and a great screened porch to eat family meals in. A lovely family experience, we hope to return to next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Follie's Cove. The cottage was as described/pictured. The hosts were respectful, responsive and helpful! The cottage is private, and on a beautiful lake! We enjoyed the thoughtful touches (breakfast, baked goods and water!). The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable - best we have had during an airbnb stay. We loved the screened in porch for meals and evening lounging. The ceiling fans are awesome, and plenty of other floor fans available - even on the hottest days, we were comfortable . The kitchen is well equipped. Bala is close by, and is super cute with great grocery store/ice cream/local eats. Thank you for having us!!

Lovely stay at a special spot on Gibson Lake....tucked in a protected cove at the end of the lake, feels like you have your own quiet, reserved piece of the water front. Water level was high so we didn't have a beach, but that didn't stop us from spending almost all day every day at the lakeshore...water is shallow, kayaks and foam 'lily pad' were epic for my young kids. Liane and James are wonderful hosts, started us off with fantastic breakfast essentials and checked in on us when they got a notification that the power had gone out overnight (due to severe weather). Will definitely recommend this spot to family and friends, certainly worthy of return visits.
