Amazingly unique beach house getaway in a great location. It was far enough off the main road for peacefulness, but within walking distance to the bay and ocean. Hosts were incredible - who knew there were still hosts who did not provide a novella of check out instructions (i.e. make you clean their house AND be charged a cleaning fee?)! Scott and Anita told us to relax, enjoy our stay, and ease on out the door - like, that's it. Also, I did not even request it, but they offered an earlier check in time if we needed, super proactive and polite.

We had a great week here! The location is perfectly situated in Colonial Beach. It's an short walk to the river and an even shorter walk to the bay. The house was very comfortable, the porch was wonderful to have a morning coffee on and read in the afternoon!

We had another great stay! The house is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the nearby brewery and to the river. Looking forward to our next visit!

Scott and Anita were fantastic hosts: very responsive and very accommodating. Their home was beautiful, and well-stocked and organized with everything we might have needed. I'm used to having to top up supplies at a nearby grocery store but Scott and Anita had thought of everything! Colonial Beach is a lovely spot too, and we took advantage of some of the recommendations listed for us. Would love to be back!

We had a great stay! We wanted to get out of northern Virginia for a few days but didn’t want to go too far because we have six month old twins. The house is super cute and clean and has everything you need. The mattresses are very comfy. We walked to several restaurants and a nearby brewery. We look forward to returning!
