The highlight was the stunning view and spacious outdoor area. Not elderly friendly when I inquired for my 89yr old dad. Absence of or unsafe railings up to the cabins, toilets prone to clogging, and low to the ground beds caused some stress. Dishcloths,tea towels,oven mitts, and floor/bathroom mats all absent, impacting comfort.Inadequate counter/shelving space for personal items which guests appreciate. A review from 2 years ago noted a missing doorknob on the side entry of cabin 2, surprisingly had not been resolved. Having a functional side entry would have enhanced comfort given the hot western exposure. Hubby managed a temporary fix when a pipe came loose at the kitchen sink in cabin 3.The new bath a plus, but unaccessible to elderly.The outdoor shower was a nice touch, though could use a simple shelf to keep items elevated. A rake would have been useful to clear the goose droppings. Still all a great time had by all. While I found $9k steep it's possible others might disagree.

After reading some reviews you would think this place is unliveable. Couldn’t be further from reality. What an incredible time we had. Rented all 4 cabins for a week. The main cabin is great and capable of hosting huge family’s, large deck, newer kitchen, more accessories then you can imagine. Check in was smooth, waivers were sent ahead of time and we basically just showed up. All the propane tanks were full and the cabins were as expected. It’s a cottage, if you want “perfect” go to a Holiday Inn. Each cottage is large and has a full kitchen. There’s an outdoor comfort room which is a full bathroom/shower. The water: again you would think it is unswimable based on the reviews. It’s amazing, there’s a couple stones then you’re on sand and there’s a carpet on the bottom of the lake covering all the seaweed. There’s also a dock that was awesome and something like 15 kayaks including at least 3 kid size. The lake was incredibly peaceful, zero noise at night and stunning sunsets. Nothing but positive things to say about our stay, and awesome private cottage that could probably host 20+ people.

We loved our time there. the private beache, rustic cabins and a quite place for family and contact with nature. The host was amazing and replied very fast. Thanks!!

I was fully expecting the "rustic" experience ( polite term for dirty ) I had read prior reviews before booking, I did not expect the safety issues. Tracy's cottages are located on an absolutely stunning location, the lake is beautiful and the space is perfect for family's but unfortunately it is lacking in basic safety. many things Tracy has listed are not actually supplied. starting with the safety none of the cottages had smoke detectors, only one cottage has a fire extinguisher. windows that are open won't close the ones closed won't open. The second door in the main cottage won't open, in one of the other cottages the second door has a stove in front of it. The deck on the main cottage is so rotten when walking on it a foot went through, the stairs to the deck are not much better also a safety rail is missing completely at one end of a deck. The other two cottages are much the same. There are no keys to any of the cottages so if you do go out you are leaving your possessions unsecured. The outside shower which is the only one for the main cottage doesn't work and the second cottage had no hot water. No shampoo, towels, extra pillows, extra blankets, portable fans or carbon monoxide detectors in any cottage although it states they will be there. Many other reviews comment on the lack of kitchen items this is very true, we had 8 of us staying and after combining all the cups we could manage to actually have a cup of coffee together although only one of the coffee machines was working. There was food left in the fridge from previous people and in one cottage the frying pan was in the cupboard full of bacon fat. I reached out to Tracy via airbnb over the main issues and she promptly replied with a "thanks for the update" after a second message asking when the issues would be attended to I got a phone call from Tracy....WOW she is a "fantastic host" After I went through the issues with her and asked when they would be fixed she proceeded to yell at me telling me I was ruining her vacation and being unreasonable to expect her to get someone out to fit smoke detectors and fix the hole in the middle of the deck, as for getting a plumber to deal with the shower that didn't work or the lack of hot water that she assured me would take days, she threw in the comment she has used on past reviews about the provincial parks being more expensive and having less facilities, she may well be right but if I had booked a provincial park I would have got exactly what they told me would be there. Tracy ranted at me for so long and so loudly my partner took the phone from me and got the same ranting from her. Tracy told us she didn't want the liability and told us to leave. After contacting airbnb which I had to do twice to try and find out what we should do I got a message from Tracy saying someone would be there the next day to fix the deck and shower. we got to meet Tracy's wonderful neighbors over the next few days who cam e to patch the deck and managed to get at least hot water to the second cottage the shower still didn't. smoke detectors where fitted on day 5 our last day. On a good note the kayaks are fantastic but don't forget to take your life jackets.

This is our second year at Breathe and Relax and we will be continuing to make this an annual trip. It's perfect for a larger group. There is lots to do and it's very Private. Tracy is great to deal with and communication is very good. The driveway and the overflow parking is a bit difficult to find on the first visit, but Tracy's instructions are still clear. Very good experience!
