It was my first stay at Akiko's B&B but for me it was like coming home in many reapects. I immediately fell in love with the whole place - including all things, plants, animals and people in it. I experienced so much peace, rest, love and harmony here. I sensed so many souls having built up this unique spirit over many, many decades. In love and gratitude for this wonderful place on Hawaii that was and is source for many. I am deeply grateful to my ancestors that I was blessed with having found this place, too.

Akiko is the first host that I fostered such a deep connection with. She was extremely friendly and willing to make conversations beyond small talks and truly interested in knowing you and sharing her living experiences with you. She made my stay go beyond a simple vacation through her invitations on meditation, yoga class, and lots of activities that helped me engage with the local communities and she even introduced me to her precious friends who ended up taking me on a several excursions on the island! The Mango Cottage was exactly how the picture shows — quiet, calm, green, simple, but had everything I needed. My favorite parts of this stay were hearing the raindrops hitting the roof at night, walking down the closed road to the river and park, watching pigs fighting for mangos, and, of courses, hanging out with Akiko and her previous friends!

Akiko is a beautiful and sparkly soul sharing her special place in the rainforest. I felt completely immersed in the natural surroundings and local area. Such a lovely experience with the nearby activities and the other guests. I enjoyed staying on this side of the island and hope to return one day.
