The property was a remote and pleasant getaway with beautiful surroundings. However the property itself requires some cleaning and maintenance, with restocking/provision of some amenities. For example the BBQ didn’t work, lacking gas, the house was a little dirty, and some activities bikes/kayaks were old or missing equipment to be used. We were able to enjoy the property as it was though, walking down to the river/swimming, enjoying the peace and calm that the surroundings offered, and visited the local area on the way from Windsor.

Firstly thank you for being super responsive during our stay and flexible with the booking arrangements. While house had everything we needed for a relatively comfortable stay, the house presented poorly. The many of the corners in the house had cobwebs, the same applies to many of the windows. The patio was covered in caked on bird droppings and generally was not clean, while the grass was mowed, the front garden was not welcoming or tidy The floors through out the house were dusty and we found lots food remains from the previous guests, through the house. The trampoline while functional was creaky and generally needed cleaning and tightening of screws, same for the outdoor gym. Lastly, it was shame that it was not more open about the fact that a farm-stay experience was no longer available; contrary to the way the property is marketed.

Our group had a good NYE trip at this location. When an amenity issue occurred, their property manager Chrissy was very helpful and attempted to have the issue rectified, however due to the time of year, it was not possible. She was great in communicating with me over the duration of our stay. The location is lovely, and the river beach was great for the kids.

Check with the owners the state of the property before locking anything in. Two floods, covid and fire has left the property pretty bleak but the land is still beautifully rugged. The farm house, when we stayed, had smashed windows stuck together with red tape, tiles falling off the edges of the balcony, a kitchen cupboard completely off, the pool table felt torn in multiple spots, grass growing out of the gutters, spider weds covering most of the windows, heaps of bindi’s in the grass and all the lovely garden beds left to go to overgrown weed, tarps and old chicken coup fence strewn all over the place. It really needs some love. That’s just the house… While the marketing looks great I’d ask for updated photos before booking. Thankfully there were kayaks for the kids and a trampoline (although also in terrible shape. We asked for a partial refund, were promised a full one and then in the course of time refused one at all. So much potential to be magnificent even in its haphazard state but the consistency of not meeting expectations is disappointing.
