Gotta be one of the best hosts ever. Beth was so welcoming and nice, guided us to her place and showed us around. This stay was everything you expect and more. Loved the animals, the surroundings, the views, the night sky. Honestly I couldn't say enough great things. You need to experience it for yourself. Loved the hiking trails as well. Such a perfect get away, the best lil doggos and just an outstanding and Unique stay all around. She works so hard on everything and has beautiful hand crafted pieces. Stay here for as long as you can, it will be worth it. :)
Perfect. Combination of peaceful setting, wonderfully sociable host as well as amazingly sociable pets (dogs, cat, chickens, goose, horses, donkeys)—especially loved the way the animals played and grazed around us as if we were part of the family. My favorite is was Zsa Zsa the dog and Beatrice the goose. Just perfect!
You know how when you meditate you think of a special place that brings up fondness in the heart? Well, Beth's space is now one of those places for me. The words that come to mind to describe Beth's place are magical, enchanting, and SO very peaceful. I never wanted to leave. I was in need of a soul-healing space and this filled me to the top. The outdoor shower was the best shower I think I have ever had- under bazillions of stars, it was just incredible. Beth is the kindest! Thank you for creating this space and sharing it with others! She is an unbelievably talented and clever artist. Although the town is small, very small, there is no shortage of things to do. The Catwalk hike was very cool. The neighborhood cafe was open for breakfast on the weekends. Lovely people all around. I spent most of my time soaking up the scenery in her yard. Plan ahead for meals, I don't think there is a microwave (although I did not ask). There is an apple tree that was super yummy!
Unwind, unplug and enjoy! I stumbled across her listing and knew it was magical. On a whim showed it to my husband and “Book it before it’s taken”. Her property was a highlight of our NM vacation. Beth is a fantastic host opening herself and her property to make your stay truly magical and with all the privacy you want. “This is like being at home” per my husband- to me better. Nature, fresh air, hiking, a pond, stars, animals, beauty, art and even an art gallery! The list could go on, but YOU need to experience it yourself! We chose the Lotus -glamping (a brass bed in a well designed tent) lights, water, electricity, internet, furnished with her special touch. She has other options to stay, so something to appeal to anyone. Two nights and we were in paradise. I’d suggest longer if you can. Enjoy!
Beth’s Behr Art homestead is beautiful with a luscious garden, a friendly goose and dog, happy chickens, beautiful horses, and donkeys. We stayed in the lotus (in the summer) and woke up to the sound of humming birds each morning, which was so nice. There is also a lovely koi pond on site. Our host Beth was helpful and friendly, and her homestead is inspiring and very relaxing to visit!

自我介绍
I am a working artist of many mediums; ceramics, copper, painting, collage, et al and proprietor of Behr Art B&B. Alongside this work, I design spaces and events, host workshops, markets, annual festivals, officiate weddings, and make my ever-morphing property available for others to share and enjoy. To that, I've spent nearly every day designing, decorating, reconstructing, reconfiguring and reworking this historic property, farm and gardens. The structures I've built and designed that are available for your retreat include the Cozy Cabin, The Carrot Cottage, the Luscious Lotus, the Pond Hut and the Hummingbird Haven. The Cabin was once a bunkhouse. The previous owners moved it (rolled it on logs) to its present location. In doing so, the floor joists needed to be reattached and a foundation was constructed to stabilize the building. My brother and I cut, fitted, mudded, tied, nailed, plumbed, electrified and created a marvelous space. My land is a working art studio, organic farm and orchard, with ponds, shade trees, peace, quiet and some of the darkest skies for star gazing in the nation. My backstory: A Connecticut native, I moved to Silver City/Pinos Altos New Mexico in 1970 and then to Glenwood in 1982. For twenty-two of those years, I lived on a ranch with a herd of horses and two donkeys, and my passion was endurance riding. After thousands of training hours, competitive miles, and sponsoring the Scorpion Sting Endurance Ride, I gave it up for the life I now live on this land.
