I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Joerg and Karin are both such warm people and wonderful hosts. I stayed here with my dog for 6 weeks and we both felt right at home. They are so kind and welcoming and I would highly recommend staying with them. I’ll definitely be back! They have two very friendly dogs. If you’re looking for a peaceful place that makes you feel at-home, this is it!

stayed here for a wedding nearby, was a wonderful experience in the deep virginia woods! super quaint and quiet, the hosts were very responsive and flexible! will definitely need a car to get here however.

I have no complaints, perfect host. Lovely breakfast and conversation. Went out of his way to help us whenever possible. Truly beautiful location, secluded, but high quality restaurants a short drive away.

In one word, Wonderful! Whether you want to go sightseeing or enjoy scenic places in the countryside. This spot got you covered. Many great wineries are in this area. The Death-ridge Brewery is close by with live music 5 nights a week. The Blue Ridge Mountains are all around you. Yet Washington DC and the Atlantic coast are a reasonable distance away by car. The place itself is peaceful, deer come by while you eat your breakfast on the spacious deck out front. It comes with a big bbq, propane fire-pit and if you feel like having an actual bonfire, there is a place for that too. Hummingbirds have “dog-fights” in the garden and at night fireflies float above the lawn and in the encompassing forrest. Karin & Jörg have been the most gracious hosts. Whether you want some recommendations, be in good company, or like some “me time” - you’ll find it here. We would stay here again, anytime, in a heartbeat.

Karin & Joerg are truly Super Hosts! My stay, albeit brief, was met with warmth, kindness & generosity of spirit—They enjoy people, life and living—their motto should be “Mi casa es tu casa” or my house is your house Bonus was Atticus , their lovable dog! 5 star recommendation earned!
