The lodges are much bigger than they look, great views from the hottub

We had a great time at Herston log cabin, the place was much larger than the photos and the hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming or done anymore for us. The cabin was clean and tidy and the hot tub was a lot bigger than the photos showed, with beautiful views over the countryside! We were welcomed into the on-site bar and the hosts even opened up the on site shop for us to get a few bits and bobs we needed. Great location with walking distance into Swanage town and beach and close by to use the steam train also. We had a perfect time for our girls trip away and also brought one dog along too, who was well catered for!

Amazing location and breathtaking views; as a few people have mentioned, the pictures dont do justice to the area. Can enjoy the views as you relax in the Hot tub. The best thing is that everything is a short drive away, lots of activities for children, like steam train ride, monkey world, general parks and the beach. I would highly recommend this place, exceptionally clean lodges and very nice hosts. Looking forward to returning again.

As previous reviews have said, the pictures really don't do this place justice - it was lovely, and really spacious. The house was super warm with underfloor heating throughout, the views out the back are lovely - we saw some roe deer in the field out the back in the morning. The hot tub was great, the kids had a wonderful time, and only 5 minutes drive from the beach. A perfect weekend break from Bristol!
