The Villa was beyond our expectations. Beautiful! Like staying in a beautiful storybook image from centuries past ( but spotless clean, with updated bathrooms, kitchen, etc). The handpaonted walls and ceilings, beautifully appointed rooms were elegant and cozy. Private pool was a huge hit as was the views from the pool, and literally every room in the house. Huge windows overlooking the gardens and countryside. Beds very comfortable. A/C worked well in the heat of the summer. Jeanne and Jean Pierre were perfect hosts: helpful, gracious. We wanted for nothing. A quick drive to Florence, appx 20 minutes, which was perfect for daily trips in and out of the city. The winding bumpy stone driveway was at first a bit intimidating, but after one or 2 drives up and down, we looked forward to it, and was not a problem at all, the views, the trees, flowers, stone walls: felt like quintessential Tuscany. We could not have had a more perfect experience. Would love to return some day

Our stay at the villa was amazing! All of the rooms inside are gorgeous and the views on the property are amazing. The host is incredibly helpful and thoughtful - she gave us a great tour, made dinner reservations for us, and helped us with logistics. The location is beautiful and secluded, so it’s best to have a car. We drove into Florence a few days and spent the other driving around Tuscany. We also ate at a few of the local restaurants and really enjoyed!

This villa is perfect in every aspect: beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped. If you are into bathrooms, this space has some of the most well-lit, beautifully tiled, spacious bathrooms I’ve seen. Only 19 minutes from the center of Florence, this property is well-taken care, honestly the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in - not a pinch of dust to be seen. The kitchen is well equipped ( I’m a chef ) and everything is high quality, from sheets to dinnerware. Surprisingly it was also a safe space for my 1yr 8months baby because the house doesn’t have a lot of scattered objects + the tables were high and he couldn’t reach for the table lamps. The hosts were amazing, kind, and generous. I can’t recommend this villa enough.

Wir waren zu viert (2 Paare und ein Kleinkind 1.5 Jahre) über Ostern in der Villa Franchetti. Das riesige Apartement ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail im toscanischen Stiel eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber-Familie ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben schon vor unserem Aufenthalt verschiedene Restaurant-Empfehlungen erhalten. Die Villa ist wunderbar in die Landschaft eingebettet. Es ist sehr ruhig und man kann sich sehr gut erholen. Trotzdem ist man in 15 Minuten in der Stadt Florenz. Die Zufahrt zur Villa ist im moment etwas holprig, aber gut erreichbar. Der Parkplatz befindet sich direkt vor der Wohnungstür. Generell ist die Villa exakt wie auf den Fotos; wenn nicht sogar noch etwas schöner. Sie ist extrem sauber und durch die warmen Farben sehr freundlich. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat ein eigenes, grosszügiges Bad. Die Bett- und Handtücher sind von sehr hoher Qualität. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden gerne wiederkommen.

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Villa Franchetti. Carla and Janet were delightful hosts and the villa is truly spectacular. It was very easy to get to and from Florence.
