We stayed one night in a family room in the Reading Rooms on a journey further north, and it was a comfortable and relaxing spot with a lovely view of the river and close to a great pub to eat in (though worth booking in advance). Parking was convenient - we got a space right outside - and the room was really comfortable. Brian was there to meet us and gave us great advice on how to spend out day out at Hadrian's Wall. Having the shared kitchen was useful and the choice for breakfast was straightforward but good, with nice touches like fresh berries. Overall, very comfortable!

Warm welcome, with lots of helpful information from Brian. We really liked being able to help ourselves to breakfast and the thoughtful facilities like fridge space to keep our packed lunch fresh for the following day. Great location, close to Hadrian's Wall.

Very nice twin room with double aspect windows overlooking the river South Tyne. The room was of top quality and spacious.

We had a room overlooking the bridge & river and it was lovely. We stayed whilst walking Hadrian's Wall. Brian wasn't able to pick us up and getting a cab to take you to Haydon Bridge needs to be booked - we managed to get a cab in the end but it wasn't quick or cheap. Nevertheless, we stayed during a 'funny' period and ended up having the kitchen to ourselves so had everything we needed. There is a Coop literally across the road, as well as restaurants, a butcher, etc, so can't be better!
