My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Valerie's place. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The view of the water and the bridge from the chairs in front of the cottage was very pretty. My children enjoyed the kayaks that are provided to share for cottagers and even caught a few little fish. Thanks :)

Elgin is a very cool town! About 30 minutes from Kingston. Nice restaurant nearby and a general store. This place has lots of room for 6+ people. We were 4 with space to spare. Unbelievable stars come out at night. There isn’t a grocery store nearby, so good to bring some food. Also good to bring water as tap water isn’t drinkable.

We loved our weeklong vacation at Simmons cottages. The space and views are gorgeous. There's lots to do in the area. We went on a few walks on the nearby trail and checked out the locks. The store and LCBO are across the street and there's a great place for icecream within a 5 minute walk. There are several kayaks available for use which we used daily! The cottage was very clean and bigger than it looks in the pictures and the hosts are kind and accommodating.

We loved our stay at Valerie's cottage! The house was basic but spacious, just steps to the water, and we loved having access to all the shared boats and water toys. The water was beautiful for swimming and highlights were kayaking along the canal, watching the boats go through the locks and spotting turtles. Communication was friendly, responsive and accommodating. It was a great value and we would definitely return!
