Exactly as advertised. The house in his a beautiful setting and has a fantastic view of the bay, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks in the morning and evening. The house was immaculate. The location is great for exploring to enjoy the Northern Neck.

We had such an amazing & a relaxing time at Beth’s beautiful waterfront property. If you are looking for place that is away from the crowds, surrounded by nature and also not very far from DC, this is your choice. The home was very clean and very beautifully furnished. Beth had provided everything that a family will need. Guestbook has all the instructions in case you need any help and recommendations. Check-in was easy and Beth was prompt in communicating. The entire ground floor is for you to relax and enjoy the water views. 3 living areas, 1 dining, kitchen and a half bathroom is on the ground floor. 3 bedrooms(which are waterfront as well) and 2 full baths are upstairs so you only have to go upstairs to sleep and can spend the whole day in the living areas and the the beautiful huge porch in the backyard enjoying the colorful skies, water and birds! At times we kept feeling as if we are facing the ocean.It is amazing how this corner of the bay and the house is located, it was the first time that we were able to enjoy the beautiful colors of both sunrise and sunset on the water! The colors of the water and sky kept changing multiple times of the day. In the night time we enjoyed the sky full of stars! We had brought drinking water and all the grocery with us but a Food Lion & dollar store are 15-20 mins away. Enjoyed delicious ice cream and food from TJ’s dairy and barn. Thanks Beth for sharing your beautiful place. We will definitely be back and recommend your place to our friends.

This trip was our idea of a perfect getaway from the family and pandemic stresses of the past 18 months. The house was sparkling clean; beautifully laid out; very recently remodeled; and thoughtfully appointed in every way (think games for indoors and out, herbs and spices; a fantastic selection of books; bath accessories; and even notepads for future vacation planning!). Check-in was easy; the guest book covered everything; and Beth was very available if we'd had other questions. The Chesapeake Bay seems to display a new personality every day. We loved bay-watching and bird-watching from the large deck running the length of the back of the house. It was made of a composite decking material, so no splinters! If you're into wildlife, we saw 5 adult bald eagles and 2 juveniles--at one time in the trees in Beth's yard overlooking the bay. Unbelievable. And that's not to mention the other birds fishing off the posts right off-shore. There's a nice flat back yard for running around and playing games. The weather was exquisite, so we saw multiple breath-taking sunrises, and had some star-watching we'll never forget. We didn't use the kayaks or the grill, but they seemed in excellent condition too. Note: you'll be near neighboring houses, but you will be somewhat "away." Come prepared to drive ten minutes for basic supplies and further for restaurants. We explored Reedville (terrific homemade ice cream shop), Kilmarnock, White Stone, and Irvington. but the privacy was what we came for. It was divine.

This is truly a beautiful place and perfect for slowing down and relaxing! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and it was just perfect. Beth has thought about everything for you…from a fully (and I mean FULLY) equipped kitchen, to bath salts for the soaker tub, to plush white robes waiting for you in the master closet, to the bottle of wine and gummy bears awaiting you upon entry, she goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. The accommodations are well-appointed and the views from the master bedroom and living room are just amazing. There’s so much to do: several wineries around, kayaks at the property to use (and even binoculars for you to borrow!), ship-watching, we took a sunset cruise one night with Surf and Sail Adventures, a day trip to Tangier Island, and a massage at the Tides Inn. We brought a Bluetooth speaker for playing our music and we were glad we did so we could enjoy wine on the beautiful deck with our favorite Spotify playlist. WiFi worked great, too.
