The host was very communicative. We went for a business trip and enjoy our stay. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were too. However, the kitchen is extremely outdated and was not inviting to even cook there. The location of the property was amazing and I think that if the kitchen was remodeled and all that clutter was removed out of the property it would be an awesome place. Also, all the personal belongings must be removed from the house to feel like a rental property and make it way more enjoyable. The kitchen looks to be the original kitchen, and the cabinets are extremely worn out, needing a serious update. It was equipped, just not inviting to cook in it. This is the first review in which I have something negative to say, however, I’m hoping for this to be taken as a need and not in a bad way. The property location is amazing and it’s a huge house for a big family with a lot of space. The property was available earlier than the check in time and was offered to us.

This location is unique. The place is full of anthropological finds of art, very interesting. The water view was spectacular and each day offered a new and fascinating view. Brian, the host, is very responsive and gives you all the information that you will need as per finding and entering his home; however, he does not supply soap, shampoo, or conditioner - so be sure to bring your own. The towels were rather old and I would recommend bringing your own from home. The rugs and furniture could use a steam clean. The kitchen had everything that you will need to cook and serve meals, coffee machine, hot water for tea, pots and pans etc. We could not find the cushions for the outdoor furniture, but it was winter. Plenty of comfy beds for everyone and the remodeled bathrooms are lovely. Kitchen is original 1960s-ish. Loved the ceiling beams! Loved the bay and all the weather (sunrises and sunsets - wind and rain and waves and gulls). Closets were cluttered with personal belongings.

Brian was extremely communicative and helpful. There was a hiccup in the beginning with regards to supplies that was quickly and efficiently dealt with. The house is in a lovely location that is an easy jumping off point for anything you could want to do. We did stay in the "off season" so no real opportunity to use the "beach" or big back deck, but I could imagine that would be lovely in the summer/fall. It did appear that there had been a large party at some point before us, because we kept finding beer cans and there was a case of alcohol bottles by the mostly full garbage cans. The cleaning crew was definitely lacking, and even clothes/towels found in the washer/dryer. The furnishings and inside are definitely dated, and the decor is eclectic. Some updates have been made, and the beds were comfortable and bathrooms had been updated. There was an issue that arose, through no fault of anyone, but it was very quickly and efficiently dealt with by Brian and we were appreciative.

We had a wonderful family gathering at this home. It is a very spacious home and the views are beautiful. It met all our needs for space and privacy. The hosts were extremely accommodating and flexible. We appreciated the chance to stay here and would love to return!

Brian was a perfect host. The property worked perfectly for my crewmembers. Will definitely stay here again.
